Penguin (A Story of Survival)
The internationally awarded nature photographer Stefan Christmann spent two polar winters as close to the emperor penguins of Antarctica as no one ever before. In over 120 emotional and intimate images, he shows the deep bonds that penguins build with one another: their common fight against the cold, the loving upbringing of their chicks, always in contrast to the harsh and merciless icy desert of Antarctica.
In personal narrations on over 200 pages, Christmann tells stories from the everyday life of the animals. Stories of life and survival, of birth, love and companionship at the end of the world.
„Penguin (A Story of Survival)“ tells the incredible story of a charismatic bird that cannot fly and walks funny, but has still managed to create a home in one of the most hostile habitats on planet Earth.
